COVID- 19 Information

New Horizons Safety & Training Services RTO 31372 prioritises the health and safety of all of our students and team members. As a result of COVID-19, we have taken a number of steps to ensure the health and well-being for our students and employees.

  • NHST has limited the class sizes to ensure adherence to social distancing
  • Student progression is important to us and we can be flexible in our approach to training delivery, we have a number of e-learning and e-meeting platforms we can utilise if suitable to keep training moving forward.
  • Increased cleaning schedule for high contact areas such as reception, classrooms and common areas.
  • Daily cleaning schedules to ensure surfaces are disinfected. This includes hand sanitizer installation and single use cups at our tea and coffee station
  • Email updates and reminders about covid, to ensure we keep up to date with current QLD Health alerts and on-forward to our students.

Training at New Horizons Safety & Training Services

NHST in accordance with QLD Health recommendations will continue to run class-based programs as approved by QLD Health unless otherwise advised. Our classrooms have been adjusted to keep in mind social distancing requirements. Students attending and staff facilitating any of our face-to-face programs will be required to follow our hygiene procedures. This includes off-site training.

Hygiene Protocol

Our team will follow hygiene protocol and we will follow advice from the Qld Health directive and hygiene practices and risk minimisation strategies. This includes daily office cleans of all area’s students may come into contact with.

All students a reminded prior to attended to ensure they are not unwell or attending with any signs or symptoms. You are required to reschedule if this is the case or declare close contact.

New Horizons follow hygiene practice advice provided by the Department of Health and the World Health Organisation, including:

  • Frequent hand washing and use of hand sanitizer and single us resources where possible
  • Masks where applicable
  • Following respiratory hygiene such as covering the mouth when coughing or sneezing with an elbow or tissue
  • Maintaining social distancing from anyone coughing or sneezing
  • Avoiding touching the eyes, nose and mouth
