RIISAM202D – Isolate and Access Plant 

The Isolate and Access Plant (RIISAM202D) training program explains the procedures for performing isolation and de-isolation. The 1 day program will outline how to identify plant to be isolated, apply work permit procedures and perform hazard identification and risk analysis prior to starting work.

This unit is appropriate for those working in operational, service or maintenance roles on fixed or mobile mechanical plant and equipment, at worksites within the following industries:

  • Civil construction
  • Coal mining
  • Drilling
  • Extractive industries
  • Metalliferous mining

Elevated Work Platform (EWP)

This unit of competency covers the functions required to prepare and operate an Elevated Work Platform (EWP) to meet minimum training and assessment standards for the purposes of certification for High-Risk work. As part of the program you will meet the criteria to obtain both units of competency being:

  • TLILIC0005 Licence to operate a boom-type elevating work platform (boom length 11 metres or more)
  • RIIHAN301E Operate elevating work platform

Enter and Work in Confined Spaces

This program offers the participant the fundamental processes, skills, and knowledge enabling them to conduct work safely in a confined space environment. Not only is a confined space a hazardous work environment but the work which is often performed in these locations often intensifies the potential for even greater danger.

This course addresses the issues relating to working at heights to ensure participants understand the requirements and procedures that are governed by legislation and to ensure that they and everybody that may be affected by working at heights operations are not subjected to an unacceptable level of risk.

White Card Training (QLD Construction Industry)

A general construction industry safety induction white card (previously known as a ‘blue card’) is issued to a person who successfully completes training in the unit of competency CPCCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry. It is a requirement in QLD that this program be completed face to face (with the exemption to rural areas who may complete online) – please note NHST offer face to face only.

4WD & Light Vehicle Driving Course

This course will teach candidates the correct safety procedures for operating 4WD and light vehicles. Candidates will also learn the basics of operating a 4WD and light vehicle. This program is designed predominately for those currently working in industry and/or hold previous skills and knowledge in the Civil, Mining, Resource and Infrastructure Industries.
