New Horizons Safety and Training Services is now offering Short Course Programs subsidised by Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ).

Suitable for:

  • Earthmoving Machinery
  • Work safely at heights
  • Enter and work in confined spaces
  • S123 Supervisor Training (2 units funded)

The short course programs offer existing building and construction workers (and eligible unemployed workers) with the opportunity to obtain a range of critical skills that can help them to increase not only their employment opportunities but allow them to perform a range of jobs and respond to emerging skills and labour requirements.

For employees, learning a new skill will allow for a multi-skilled workforce increasing levels of service and productivity, which in turn promotes more flexibility.

CSQ Short Course funding applies to existing workers currently employed (for a period of 4 weeks or more) within in the Building and Construction Industry who are permanent Qld residents. If you have worked in the industry within the last 6 months but are currently unemployed and can supply a reference letter/evidence of previous employment, you will be eligible to receive this funding.
